Every woman should have at least one Small Handbag

If you like to carry a multitude of belongings with you on a daily basis, the fashion trend for small handbags probably won’t fill you with enthusiasm. However, the small handbag look is tres chic and extremely cool. The idea is to carry the bare minimum, absolute essentials such as purse, lipstick, keys and mobile phone. Gigi's Small Organiser Bag at £39.95 (RRP £50) is the best of both worlds; it's small enough to be in vogue but there are also plenty of pockets to satisfy the need for a storage solution.

Small handbags are considered to be the healthy option as you won’t be weighed down with one shoulder dragging you to the floor making you look like Quasimodo. In fact, you’ll be able to stand tall and walk around feeling positively like a model. Marta Ponti makes a real cute cross-body bag in fashionable cracked-leather with a secure zip top. Shown here is the fabulous grungy yellow leather but there are plenty of other colours to choose from, too. Becka £25 (RRP £35).

Small handbags are also lightweight and easy to pack for holidays abroad. Gigi makes a neat cross-body bag at just £34.95 (RRP £40) in myriad coloured leathers which would be an ideal choice. In addition to the colours shown, there is also grey, purple, pink and cream.

If you have a wedding to attend and you want to look your best, Catwalk Collection makes the utterly charming Milan Grab Bag with matching purse which would be absolutely perfect. Shown here is the mint with chocolate brown trim but it also comes in fondant pink/choc, crimson red/black and jet black/choc. Handbags retail at £44.95 (RRP £60) with purses at £20.95 (RRP £30) so it won't cost the earth to get a designer look.
